Here’s what Trader Joe’s new YouTube channel is all about

Fans of Trader Joe’s can see how some products are made, get recipes and more on the grocery chain’s new YouTube channel. This conversation is moderated according to USA TODAY’s community rules. Please read the rules before joining the discussion. The newly launched YouTube channel offers customers videos about recipes, featured products and how some of those products are made, such as its mini ice cream cones. On YouTube, it shows the channel started on April 23. As of today, Trader Joe’s has more than 6,500 subscribers to the channel. The video playlist has several categories including “How it’s Made,” “Recipes,” “Products,” and “Who We Are.” So far, there are 17 videos in all in addition to several Podcasts. The recipes videos are based on using, of course, Trader Joe’s products. Several are made in conjunction with Bon Appetit magazine staffers along with Trader Joe’s puppet mascot called the Fearless Flyer — the same name as grocery chain’s newsletter. The videos are fun, peppy and quirky. Some are animated or illustrated or have a voice over. One current video is touting how much they love celery, calling Trader Joe’s “your celery headquarter...
